President of Mauritius to Honour Outstanding Indian Educators

Intelligent Minds Trust (IMT), a non-profit trust dedicated to promoting excellence in education, is proud to announce the upcoming 3rd Excellence in Education Awards - 2023. The prestigious event is set to take place on August 23 at the esteemed World Hindi Secretariat in Mauritius, where more than three dozen school leaders from across India and abroad will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the education sector.


The awards ceremony will be graced by the presence of Hon’ble H.E. Prithvirajsing ROOPUN, GCSK President of The Republic of Mauritius, who will personally bestow the honours upon the distinguished educators. Joining him will be the Vice Prime Minister Leeladevi Dookun-Luchoomun, and the Foreign Minister Alan Ganoo, underscoring the significance of this event.


Mr. Rajesh Bajaj, Trustee of IMT, shared this exciting news during a press conference at the Press Club of India. He emphasised that the third edition of the Excellence in Education Awards has attracted nominations from various states including Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh, totalling 37 exceptional school leaders.

An integral highlight of the ceremony will be the felicitation of the renowned mathematician Anand Kumar, founder of the widely acclaimed Super 30 initiative. Kumar's ground-breaking work has transformed the lives of countless students, embodying the spirit of educational excellence and empowerment that IMT seeks to promote.


IMT's commitment to honouring and celebrating educators aligns with its core mission of building a brighter future through education. The organisation firmly believes that the responsibility of shaping the next generation lies on the capable shoulders of dedicated teachers, and thus, it is imperative to recognize and value their invaluable contributions.
