Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve lies in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, close to which one can find two of Tree of Life resort's stunning retreats.
The flora and fauna of Corbett National Park are diverse and extreme in both their habitats and their species. The riparian meadows and dry riverbeds of this park are a treasure. Woodlands, open grassland, forest-grassland margins, reservoirs, and steep terrain are all found here.
In addition to the crested serpent eagle, the blossom-headed parakeet, and the red jungle fowl—the ancestor of all domestic fowl—there are over 586 species of resident and migratory birds categorized. There are also 33 types of reptiles, 7 types of amphibians, 7 types of fish, and 36 types of dragonflies. Leopards can be found in lowland jungles as well as in mountainous locations. The jungle cat, the fishing cat, and the leopard cat are some of the park's smaller cats. Animals such as the Himalayan black bear, the sloth, the otters, the otters of the Himalayan Goral and the langur/rhesus macaques are also there. During the night, owls and nightjars can be heard. Indian elephants gather in large groups during the summer months. A chital deer can be killed by the Indian python located in the reserve. Released their crocodile offspring into the Rāmgangā River.
