BODY SHAMING, IS NOT A JOKE

Fat, ugly, dark, and what not. These are the words people have to face every day.
She is pretty, but is fat. He is handsome, but dusky. She is tall, but is so skinny. You think all of this is a joke? Maybe for you, it is. But for someone, it is not. What you call a joke, is actually BODY SHAMMING. AND IT IS NOT FUNNY.

Often, you make comments, which probably doesn’t affect you, but can cause major damage to someone’s mental health and their confidence.
I won’t blame the generation, but body shaming is the result of the standards that are set by the society itself years and years ago. And sadly, even in the 21st century, body shaming prevails as if it is something very normal.

People have to understand the fact that no one has the right or authority to shame others. Everyone has their own opinions, choices and decisions, no one has the power to pull the other down due to the decisions they make.
Body shaming has been one of the major reasons behind suicide these days. These have gone to such an extent, that even kids are not even getting spared. Little kids are also the praise of body shaming.

Its high time, how much quiet everyone is going to be? How much more do people have to be the victims of this disgusting monster that lives in the society?  This needs to stop, before it takes a much worse form. It is already in a way too disgusting form than it should have been, and if no proper step is taken this will lead to more suicides and mental damage cases.
The worst part is, nobody actually wants to talk about it. People avoid it as if it not even a topic to discuss on. Elders, teachers, even parents sometimes avoid it in such a way that it becomes very suffocating for anyone who has gone through body shaming.

These are sensitive issues, and they need to be talked. They need to be discussed and given proper care and advices. It’s really high time, that a proper step is taken against body shaming for the well being of the world.
