International Symposium on Sustainable Technologies

Amity University Kolkata is hosting the 3rd Symposium on Sustainable Technologies for Food Processing & Preservation which is going to be held on 4th and 5th December 2019 at our Seminar Hall in the Auditorium building. The symposium is being arranged jointly by the Research Council of
Norway, SINTEF, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Amity University, BITS Pilani, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) and IIT KGP.
The symposium is a part of the interactive and innovative meeting  of SINTEF Norway which is supported by European Union with their international partners, for identifying more scope of research and education in energy efficient resource utilizations in Food value chains between Norway and India.
The Convener of this Symposium is Dr. Nutan Kaushik, Director General of Food & Agricultural Foundation of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. The conference will see some of the top level experts in this food industry like, Mr. Pawanexh Kohli- CEO of National Center for Cold Chain Development, Prof. Trygve Eikevik of NTNU Norway, Research scholars from IIT-KGP, Dr. Alok Srivastava-Chief Scientist of CFTRI, Dr. Debdutta Mishra-Dy. Director of Central Food Laboratory of FSSAI, Dr. Amit Parikh-Scientist E Department of Biotechnology of Government of India, Prof. Eva Falch-Vice Dean Innovation of NTNU Norway, Dr. Kristina Widell-Senior Research Scientist of SINTEF Norway , Dr. Rasa Slizyte-Senior Research Scientist of SINTEF Ocean, Norway to name a few.
The symposium is expected to see more than 65 delegates apart from high level speakers and important dignitaries of the food and nutrition industry. Delegates from Jadavpur University, Calcutta University and other State Universities are also expected to join the symposium. A poster presentation would also be there to show case the work of the research scholars in this domain.
