Greatest Anime characters of all time

Edward Elric - Full Metal Alchemist
Commonly nicknamed as Ed, a fictional character and protagonist of the Full Metal Alchemist manga series and its adaptations created by Hiromi Arakawa. An epitome of inspirational respect. A character with a lot of flaws, but that's what makes him much more phenomenal and relatable. He's a guy who makes mistakes, but never afraid to lose his ground and deal with the consequences.

Vegeta - Dragon ball Z
Created by Akira Toriyama, this character couldn't get more badass than he already is. In the beginning he's portrayed as the evil sadist that turns into one of the good guys in the anime. He can do it all! He started out as a psychopathic maniac, who eventually turned out the way he was introduced in the series. His journey makes it the long one obviously. After being repeatedly humiliated, abused and destroyed his race. He was forced to grow up in very compromising conditions.

Naruto Uzumaki - Naruto
Created by Masashi Kishimoto, a fictional character from the Anime series, Naruto. An extremely strong-willed character, who's amazing and livable at the sametime. After the hard times he's gone through, fulfilling everyone's wish, only to see them happy, making enemies friends, doing so much for people without wanting anything back in return. A true character in every aspect to look up to.

Spike Spiegel - Cowboy Bebop
A more complex character than the rest. A clever, laid back guy. He's got a human side to him which is mixed with a mysterious past of his. Often thought to be clitchè, but his character isn't. Neither is he too perfect that it is unrealistic for the viewers as he shares his share of flaws as well. A believable character with a unique personality. Sometimes a tad bit philosophical too.

Levi Ackerman - Attack on Titan
A nasty character to everyone, but very caring towards his comrades. Has a sad past that adds fascination to his personality. He took on the beast, Titan himself, almost killing him. A guy you would take to fight with you. Good at heart and cares so much, that it's hard to say looking at his, "not caring about anyone or anything" behaviour.

Himura Kenshin - Rurouni Kenshin
An anime, Himura Kenshin known as Kenshin Himura in the English dubs, is a fictional character and protagonist of the Rurouni Kenshin manga created by Nobuhiro Watsuki. A very different anime character. He doesn't have super abilities like the others, but his speed makes him one of the strongest Anime characters. A man with a sad past who is a strong gut, but hides behind a childish and weak face of his. A guy who while fighting, often gets hit and insulted, but never retaliates, as he has the strength of knowing that strong people do not need to show strength by talking or fighting back. He even lets people free from dying while he fights them.

Aristotle's Theory of Tragedy
