“Months, weeks, days, hours and minute to minute practice sessions and finally came the day”.

February 25^th, 2012 was the day of high spirits, glee, galore and vivacity for all the ones associated with Billabong High International School, Noida as the institution celebrated its astounding and wonderful Annual Day in the sprawling lush green 7 acre campus.

This pompous and glorious evening was presided by the ever admirable television, theatre and film artist Ms. Sushma Seth who showered her blessings and expressed happiness for the way the school has recognized and showcased the talents of the children.

The lighting of the lamp set off the stage for the remarkable journey along with Ms. Aarushi Bhattacharya, a parent full of pride for this prestigious centre of learning.

The programme commenced with the progressive report by the esteemed Principal, Ms. Dimple Anil who traced out the long strides taken for the development of Billabong.

Through the very appealing theme of “The Balancing Act”, the tiny tots and budding artists showcased the equivalence that exists between the integrated approach to learning and the curricular and co-curricular activities.

Such learning programme motivates the children to learn better in an environment where information is brought alive and wherein the lessons are interactive.

The inter link in various subjects and the methodologies ensure development of knowledge, skills and attitude with an indepth understanding of the concepts.

The hallmark for success here lies in the fact that the focus of learning is – To Think and Excel.

The students very well performed keeping in view the belief that education does not take place only in classroom but reaches much beyond the extremities of a normal classroom.

It would be a miss if it is forgotten to mention about the extraordinary and exceptional performance by the students of Sanchetna – a centre of learning with students of special needs.

The school prides itself in the endeavour to reach out to the children who have learning disabilities provided them with intervention, counseling and clinical services with support of specialized therapists.

The inclusion policy followed by the school encourages a harmonious strengthening of social, emotional, educational and physical needs. It enables safety, health and an environment where all pupils regardless of any disability are ensured equal opportunities to reach their potential.

The evening witnessed the zeal, spark and enthusiasm in the students who were decked up in beautiful attires from a monkey of a zoo to a computer.

The concept, theme, script that depicted the rich, lively integrated approach was lauded by one and all. The flawless, fluid choreography and narration left the feelings for the show flamboyant and brilliant.

Even the parents couldn’t resist in displaying their fervor and excitement. It was clearly reflected in the cheerful murmur all around.

The programme rose to an absolute peak with the grand finale and drifted the spectacular crowd into a beautiful feeling that it is believed would linger on to the minds of everyone.

The enthralling evening culminated with words of gratefulness and thanks.
